Family Violence Service

The Family Violence Service provides information and support for victims of family violence where the perpetrator is or was:

  • a life partner
  • parent or step parent of a child of either member of the couple
  • a live in family member such as a sibling
  • a live in carer
  • where the victim requires assistance in relation to a Family Violence Restraining Order or the matter is listed in the Family Violence List in the Magistrates Court.

The Service is free and confidential. Trained staff can assist with:

  • accessing services such as counselling, police, legal, medical and other relevant services
  • information about ongoing court matters and preparing for court and in court support
